Move More Live More

Age NI have partnered with Taking Care to deliver a falls awareness trial programme.

Combining Taking Care’s digital technology with wearable devices and Age NI’s online 6-week health and wellbeing sessions, this programme will increase awareness of how to reduce the risk of falls.

Move More Live More is about improving your activity levels, strength, balance and overall health and wellbeing to get the most out of later life.

Health experts believe the vast majority of falls could be prevented with some fairly modest changes to our lifestyle. Move More Live More is here to show you how.

Every year in Northern Ireland:

Move More Live More is suitable for anyone who:

  • Is aged 50 and over
  • Has had at least one fall
  • Has a smartphone or tablet and able to pair another device to it using Bluetooth
  • Is able to download an app from the App store.

Remember it’s never too late to start and all movement is good movement!

To take part in the Move More Live More trial programme please:

  • Apply for a Taking Care fitness device, which you will be asked to wear for 12 weeks.
  • Join Age NI's 6 weekly online health and wellbeing sessions. Each session features information presented by experts, along with a short movement exercise, designed specifically for older people.
  • Complete health and wellbeing questionnaires during the programme.
