About Age NI

Age NI believes every older person should be included and valued. We’re working across Northern Ireland to change the way we age.
You matter | We care | Together we can make a difference
We’re changing the day-to-day experience of getting older through essential services and local support. We transform older people’s wellbeing in the ways that matter most to them – whether that’s getting online or getting more active.
Our specialist, impartial advice helps change older people’s worries into answers. And our friendship services change loneliness and isolation into comfort and connection.
We campaign to put older people at the heart of public policy and shift the way ageing is treated and represented.
We provide a range of services across Northern Ireland, including:
- Age NI advice line: our specialist, impartial advice is changing how older people feel when they face a challenging issue – whether it’s care, money, health or housing.
- Day, residential and domiciliary care to 1,200 clients every week in centres across Northern Ireland
- First Connect: programme supporting older people who are in need of direct emotional and practical help in their lives at a time of crisis.
- Support for 11 sub-regional older people's networks to increase the voice and sustainability of older people’s groups at a local level
- Policy and Engagement: we work with local, national and international policymakers to challenge inequalities and push for the changes that’ll improve older people’s lives.
- Independent living products: products like personal alarms, helping older people stay safe and independent in their own homes.
- My Life My Way: providing support for older people with dementia, and their carers in the Belfast and Northern Trust area.
- Living Well Moyle: supporting people with chronic conditions to lead happier and healthier lives, by reconnecting them with activities in their community.
