The home heating oil support scheme offers a £100 digital pre-paid card to help with the cost of home heating oil.
You might be eligible if:
- Your primary address is in Northern Ireland
- Oil is the main heating method in your home
And if during either of the qualifying periods you were:
- Living at your main home
and
- receiving income-related means tested benefits or disability benefits
or
- have a net household income under £30,000 per year
The qualifying periods are:

Any day between Wednesday 1 April and Thursday 30 April 2026.

Any day between Sunday 1 November and Monday 30 November 2026.
