Big Give Christmas Challenge The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2020 The Christmas Challenge is now closed but you can donate to our No one should have no one appeal below Donate now Age NI is delighted to have been selected as one of the charities taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s largest match funding campaign. Donations made on the Big Give website from 1 - 8 December will be doubled by our Champion pledgers; meaning all donations received during this time will have twice the impact. The challenge for Age NI, is to raise our target of £4,500 in 7 days. If we reach our target by 12noon on 8 December then the money from our Champion pledgers will be released, doubling our total income to £9,000. This is an amazing opportunity for Age NI to raise money for older people who are isolated and lonely and in need of some extra advice and support. All money raised will go towards our Check in and Chat service, which provides weekly phone calls to older people who need someone to talk to. Rosalind Cole, Regional Fundraiser at Age NI said, “We’re very excited to be taking part in The Big Give this year. It’s such a unique opportunity for our supporters to get their donations doubled, at no extra cost to them. We are extremely thankful to our very kind pledger and Corporate Partner ViVO, and our Champion pledger The Reed Foundation, who together have agreed to match our target of £4,500. With ongoing restrictions having a significant impact on the wellbeing of thousands of older people throughout Northern Ireland, we are determined to be there for those who have no one else to turn to. If you were thinking of making a donation to Age NI this winter, then I’d encourage you to make it online from 1 – 8 December, to help us reach even more older people this winter.” Only donations made between 12noon on 1 December to 12noon on 8 December will be eligible for the match funding.
