With greater restrictions in place due to COVID-19 it is vital older people and others who are particularly vulnerable, receive clear information and the help and support they need to stay safe, well and connected. Age NI recognises that many older people will be feeling anxious and concerned about the news of rising infection rates and growing pressures on our health service.

It is important that we all work together to fully support and protect those who are most vulnerable in our communities and most significantly affected by the restrictions.  Age NI calls on the NI Executive to ensure funding and resources are in place to make this happen and the rights of older people are protected during these very difficult times.

If anyone is concerned about an older family member, friend or neighbour please contact Age NI’s Advice service on 0808 808 7575 or visit Advice NI Coronavirus Helpline for information that may help you during the COVID-19 crisis.
