We are absolutely delighted to be a partner for the Age at Work category at the 2020 Responsible Business Awards in Northern Ireland.

The awards, which are run by Business in the Community, are now open, and we're encouraging responsible businesses to enter before the deadline of 5:00pm on Friday 28 February 2020.

This is the fifteenth year of these awards, which are run by Business in the Community, and taking place in partnership with JP Corry and SPAR and in association with Ulster Business and U105. They seek to recognise and celebrate firms in Northern Ireland that are making a difference by taking practical action to address pressing social and environmental issues. They are FREE to enter and open to firms here of all sizes and from all sectors. There are eleven categories up for grabs in 2020:

  • Age at Work Champion, in partnership with Age NI
  • Diversity and Inclusion Award, sponsored by Belfast Harbour
  • Education Partner Award, sponsored by Allen & Overy
  • Employability and Jobs Award, sponsored by George Best Belfast City Airport
  • Environmental Leadership Award, sponsored by Heron Bros 
  • Investing in Your Community Award, sponsored by Arthur Cox
  • Responsible Digital Innovation Award, in partnership with Digital DNA
  • One-to-Watch Award, sponsored by Ciena
  • Responsible Product / Service Award, sponsored by Translink
  • Wellbeing at Work Award, sponsored by Larne Port

Celebrating Age Champions

Encouraging firms to enter the Age at Work Champion category, Age NI’s Director of Business Development and Marketing Siobhan Casey says: “Age NI is specifically encouraging companies to enter the new Age at Work category – for the organisation that best demonstrates its commitment and action to recruit, retrain and retain people 50+.”

Applications can be made online at www.bitcni.org.uk/awards. Entries will close on Friday 28 February 2020 at 5:00 pm, and the winners will be revealed at a glittering gala dinner at the ICC Belfast on Thursday 28 May 2020.
