Danske Bank Danske Bank staff and customers have raised over £145,000 for charity partner, Age NI since 2013. The partnership has seen staff from across the Bank fundraise, volunteer and provide mentoring support for the leading older people’s charity. Siobhan Casey, Director of Marketing at Age NI said, 'We would like to say a big thank you to Danske Bank, its staff and customers who have organised, participated in and donated to numerous fundraising events over the last three years. 'Thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts, Age NI has been able to ensure the sustainability of vital care services, answer an additional 5,000 calls to the Age NI Advice line and contribute to more than 150,000 comforting cups of tea and coffee for the hundreds of older people who attend our 14 day centres. 'We have also worked with Danske Bank to deliver hugely popular in-branch 'Step by Step' sessions to over 1,200 older people since 2014. Step-by-Step is a programme that helps older people feel more comfortable about new banking channels, guiding customers through a variety of banking options for instance ATMs and online banking.' Danske Bank's External Relations Manager, Alison Falls said, 'Our employees from head office buildings and branches right across Northern Ireland have been fantastic in their support for Age NI. We've had staff complete all sorts of personal and team fundraising events such as abseils, mountain treks, skydives and firewalks to raise funds to support the vital work of Age NI. 'Over the past three years, our partnership with Age NI has been highly successful and we are proud to have been able to support the fantastic work they carry out across the country. We would like to thank all our customers and staff for their support and generosity throughout the three year charity partnership.'
