Earlier this year, Age NI asked older people in Northern Ireland about the big issues that matter most to them.

In the Age NI Lived Experience 2021 survey, older people prioritised the issues they feel most strongly about. From the practical to the philosophical, respondents share views and opinions on a wide range of topics which include health, social care, equality, rights, transport, help at home, housing, welfare, digital inclusion, personal safety and pensions.

These findings will feature in Age NI’s manifesto for the next Northern Ireland Assembly elections in 2022.

The results of the Lived Experience 2021 survey will be revealed at our Lived Experience 2021 Forum, hosted live on Zoom, on Wednesday 8 September 2.30 - 4pm.

This will be an important event leading up to the Age NI Pensioners’ Parliament at Stormont Parliament Buildings on Friday 17 September, when older people will have the opportunity to put questions to Northern Ireland Assembly Ministers.

By taking part in the Lived Experience 2021 Forum, YOU will have the chance to decide on questions put to departmental Ministers on four key issues.

(Keep an eye on Age NI social media and website for information on how to view the Pensioners’ Parliament event live from Stormont on Friday 17 September.)
